Alcohol Brands: Promotions For Summer

A glimmer of summer weather has finally reached our shores as we kick off the month of May. 

With that, we have also spotted numerous promotions running across alcohol brands, offering a plethora of summer-themed prizes to accompany their tipple! 

Here, we focus on a few of the many we spotted on our recent supermarket sweep!

Alcohol brand promotions include:

  2. San Miguel
  3. Henry Westons

1. Magners Irish Cider

Magners Irish Cider is currently running a “Your summer vibe starts now” promotion until 31st June 2024.

Consumers can scan a QR Code on promotional bottles and multipacks of Magners to be in with a chance of winning a variety of Summer-themed prizes. 

A winning moments mechanic delivers prizes to be won every 60 minutes and includes a trip to the Belsonic Festival in Belfast, Ticketmaster vouchers, alongside lots of branded merchandise items, including hats, crocs and hammocks – a nice ensemble of summer essentials to enjoy with a cold cider on a hot day!

2. San Miguel 

San Miguel is running an on-pack promotion, giving 25 lucky winners a chance to win a 2-night trip for two to Málaga, Spain. This includes flights, accommodation and an itinerary of activities to seek new experiences with San Miguel. 

There are also 1,000 San Miguel branded merchandise items to be won, including bottles, beach bags and blankets. 

To enter, consumers are required to purchase a qualifying product, visit the competition page and submit their details along with the last 4 digits of the product barcode. 

A prize draw will be carried out at the end of the promotion to select the winners.

Similar to the Magners promotion, San Miguel have put together a well-rounded prize fund that is also thematically in keeping with its heritage.

3. Henry Westons

Another cider brand, Henry Westons, is also running a getaway prize with their, “Win a taste of adventure” promotion offering one winner the chance to win an adventure holiday, with 300 runner-up prizes up for grabs. 

This on-pack promotion is running across a range of SKUs and will be supported by out-of-home advertising and in-store activations, including branded shippers and a hand-painted mural in Bristol. 

As per the San Miguel mechanic, consumers are required to purchase a product and enter a unique code (found under the bottle cap) onto the promotional website, then a prize draw will be carried out to select the lucky winners.

4. Jack Daniels  

A couple of brands have activated “free gift with purchase” promotions; Jack Daniels and Madri are two we have spotted. 

Jack Daniels is offering a pair of branded socks (in a choice of 3 colours) when consumers purchase a bottle of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, Tennessee Apple, or Tennessee Fire 70cl. Socks and Jack Daniels. But what’s the link, you may ask? 

The background behind this combo lies with Gentleman Jack Tennessee Whiskey, honouring the makers who follow the path of developing a business where demand and innovation intersect. 

They have partnered with Bombas, a profitable company built on equal parts entrepreneurial creativity and compassionate philanthropy. 

When Bombas launched, the company set clear goals and pledged to donate a million pairs of socks to individuals in homeless shelters around the U.S against sales of their value-added products. They thought it would take ten years. It ended up taking only two and a half.

5. Madri

The next alcohol brand promotion comes from Madri.

Consumers purchasing 4x440ml cans of Madri can currently get their hands on a free street art Madri branded beer glass, which not only helps to deliver free advertising to homes nationwide.

They’re also a must-have item for any beer glass-collecting afficionado which means you now don’t have to steal one from your local pub.

6. McGuigan Wines

To round off the campaigns within this category, we have McGuigan Wines.

Cash is always a popular prize incentive, and McGuigan Wines is one brand currently offering a Win 1 of 30 £1,000 prizes, plus £100 cash prize and a case of McGuigan Wine to be won every week for a 30-week promotion.
